Tantric Yoga: A Magical Path To Understand Oneness With The Universe And Restore Inner Peace

As an introvert, you are inclined to the world within you. There is always an urge to get an answer to “Who am I.” Tantric Yoga is one of the most effective and ancient practices or techniques that helps you become familiar with the energy within you. In the process, it rekindles your inner energy. As a result, you emerge as a more productive person, physically and mentally.

Tantra Yoga is also a great practice to know that the entire universe is a manifestation of a singular consciousness/reality/energy. This feeling is empowering, and the concept of oneness may be initially difficult to fathom. What Is Tantric Yoga?  

As introverts, we face a lot of turmoil inside us. We cannot express what’s going on inside, and we badly need an outlet that will restore our inner peace.

Now, if I decode the meaning of Tantric Yoga, I find two words, Tantra and Yoga. In Sanskrit, Tantra means technologies or practices, and Yoga means oneness. So, together, Tantric or Tantra Yoga means cumulative techniques that help you connect your individual consciousness with the universal consciousness.

What Is Tantric Yoga?  

Also, through breathing techniques, meditations, and physical postures in Tantric Yoga, you awaken the Kundalini energy within you. It’s the energy that lies at the base of your spine.

As you awaken the energy within you and have a sense of oneness, you become liberated from many mental blockages holding you back. You develop an open mind with a lot of possibilities taking shape in front of your eyes.

There are many Tantric Yoga postures. Here, I have mentioned some easy postures that you can try.

Before I get into the simplest Tantric Yoga practices or poses, I must tell you that your journey on this path must begin with a Guru or teacher. Also, these Yoga poses are just one of many techniques followed in the practice of Tantric Yoga.

You can try the postures alone at home. You can also practice the same posture with your partner. However, most experts I have interacted with have advised me to go for a solo Yoga practice because it is the classical way to go about it. However, if you think that doing the postures and practices together will improve your sexual, mental, and spiritual bond, that’s excellent!

Nevertheless, here are some of the postures you can try in the practice of Tantric Yoga.

  • Backbends
  • Forward Folds
  • Side Bends
  • Inversions
  • Twists

This is one of the easiest practices in Tantric Yoga, helping you with mindful living.

  • Sit in a cross-legged position. Do not go for a cushioned mattress or bed. The best practice is to lay a Yoga mat on the floor and sit on that. You can also get a Tantric Yoga chair for this exercise.
  • Inhale deeply and keep pressing your pelvic muscles gently.
  • You will feel the energy at the base of your spine is rising.
  • Now, exhale gently and take a pause.
  • Inhale again and continue this practice.
  • Slowly, you will feel the energy reaching the crown of your head.

Have you seen the aura drawn around divine personas? Through the root lock breath or many other practices, the energy can radiate through the crown of your head and fill the aura around you. However, to reach this stage, it needs years of practice and dedication. Initially, you can use this visualization during your practice sessions.

This is a practice that will help you experience oneness with universal energy.

  • Be seated in a relaxed cross-legged pose.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Look up toward your third eye.
  • Visualize and feel your body getting filled up with light.
  • Now, visualize the light radiating from your body and getting spread in the universe.

This is the way you will know why and how the energy within you is the same as the universal energy or consciousness. The feeling is empowering, and many people devote their lives to the practice of understanding and achieving a greater consciousness or feeling of oneness.

This is fundamental and, of course, a very important understanding of life. Erwin Schrodinger, a Nobel-laureate physicist, said,

“The total number of minds in the universe is one. In fact, consciousness is a singularity phasing within all beings.”

Even if you do not want to get into the transcendental or elevated part of Tantric Yoga, you will notice some positive changes in your daily life with simple practices like the ones I have mentioned here.
